"Right in the heart of the colleges", the location of this hotel is "perfect" for those "visiting the University of Pennsylvania", though more of a trek to the "Liberty Bell"; overall, the staff is "polite" and the rooms "pleasantly appointed" with "unusually comfortable" beds, though some grumble about a "tired look" in the "older" accommodations, as well as "tight parking."

Very comfortable and clean bed.
The bed was the only thing that was clean and/or comfortable.

First, the elevators were old, dirty, and rickety - as though they had forgotten about them in the renovations. The carpet in the room was full of stains. The overall sense was that cleaning was a low priority. ...read more

Closest hotel to the train station where I came in.
Nothing special.

It was fine. There was only a Chinese restaurant in the hotel. Good food, but I couldn't eat it days in a row. No real breakfast place - the Chinese restaurant was open, but didn't even have coffee cups. Staff in the restaurant was very nice and food was good. Hotel was also undergoing some construction, so that didn't help. ...read more

Accommodating to early arrival.
Our room reeked heavily of smoke, yet the entire hotel was a non-smoking hotel. Seems as if they can't even enforce their own policy.

Service and the free internet.
Very noisy - excessive noise from the street and parties. Interfered in our sleep.

Free Wi-Fi.
All the outlets didn't work, and the towels were dirty.

Over all this was a great hotel. The room looked nice, it had free Wi-Fi, and a fridge. The only problems were the outlets didn't work, the AC was kind of loud and a couple of the towels were dirty.
